First Concert
A former co-worker on FB posted...
My top 5 favorite concerts of all time (and I've seen many)5. Metallica/guns and roses 1991 (New York)
4. Eagles 2003 (Biloxi Ms.)
3. Paul McCartney 2013 (Memphis Tn.)
2. Radiohead 2009 (St. Louis Mo.)
1. Pink Floyd 1996 (Nashville Tn.)
I may have been at one or two of those concerts, probably in a different year, most are a fog when I squint and think back. The one that is most memorable though is my first. I do believe it was the summer of'65, in between junior high and high school. Mary Ellen, her cousin, and I went to the Ohio State Fair.
A chainlink fence was holding back zillions of screaming young girls. It was the British Invasion! There were so many they didn't have enough seats. So in their mind to keep it fair (at the fair), when they opened the gate everyone was supposed to grab their own chair. We stormed the gate, only one of us could grab a chair because we wanted to get up front fast! And we did! The second row just right of the stage (stage left). Three of us sat on that hard metal folding chair while everyone cried and screamed. I remember thinking I don't feel like crying, I really didn't feel the emotion the others did, something must be wrong with me. Instead I googly-eyed Peter Noone, so cute, singing to me.
Carole King co-wrote this one...
In 1965 they actually sold more records than The Beatles!
11am breakfast
I'm not a breakfast person. Never have been. I like the typical breakfast--bacon, egss, home fries, but when I eat it I want to eat the rest of the day. It's like it opens my tummy up for "more"; that's what it speaks to me anyway.
When I reflect on the healthiest part of my life, and also probably the happiest--they come hand in hand, it was when I was a raw foodist. For...maybe 4 years and quite a few years back.
So today, along the lines of no cooking and I don't like to cook anyway, I finally broke down and made myself breakfast. It came together deliciously.
I started with Kiwi for my plate. I saw this video and it promptly me to buy a bag of Kiwi's and try it out.
Next I came up with "Ants on a Plank'.
Ak Mak Crackers spread with fresh (machine at the store) made almond butter, and raisins on top. When combining foods, nuts and dried fruit combine well for proper digestion. Raw foodist days, I learned proper combining of foods for best digestion. And it's all common sense really. Don't start out the day with something heavy and harder to digest like the preverbial bacon and eggs then eat melon for dessert. The melon digests quickly, tries to get down through all that grease and stuff and forms gas. Think about it.
I added some good dollops of my very favorite yogurt ever...pronounced "Fa-yeh!"
Normally dairy is eaten later because it's slower to digest, but this is yogurt with all those good bacterias wiggling around in your system perking things up.

I had some granola from the bulk bin that was on sale, looked good, vanilla and almonds I believe. I sprinkled some of the crumbs from the bottom of the bag all over the plate. Threw a few raw whole almonds on the side and there is was...breakfast.
While eating I kept in mind correct combination and ate the kiwi with the whole almonds and yogurt, then followed up with Ant Planks. Perf.
