When I reflect on the healthiest part of my life, and also probably the happiest--they come hand in hand, it was when I was a raw foodist. For...maybe 4 years and quite a few years back.
So today, along the lines of no cooking and I don't like to cook anyway, I finally broke down and made myself breakfast. It came together deliciously.
I started with Kiwi for my plate. I saw this video and it promptly me to buy a bag of Kiwi's and try it out.
I love YouTube, so much to learn.
Next I came up with "Ants on a Plank'.Ak Mak Crackers spread with fresh (machine at the store) made almond butter, and raisins on top. When combining foods, nuts and dried fruit combine well for proper digestion. Raw foodist days, I learned proper combining of foods for best digestion. And it's all common sense really. Don't start out the day with something heavy and harder to digest like the preverbial bacon and eggs then eat melon for dessert. The melon digests quickly, tries to get down through all that grease and stuff and forms gas. Think about it.
I added some good dollops of my very favorite yogurt ever...pronounced "Fa-yeh!"Normally dairy is eaten later because it's slower to digest, but this is yogurt with all those good bacterias wiggling around in your system perking things up.
I had some granola from the bulk bin that was on sale, looked good, vanilla and almonds I believe. I sprinkled some of the crumbs from the bottom of the bag all over the plate. Threw a few raw whole almonds on the side and there is was...breakfast.
While eating I kept in mind correct combination and ate the kiwi with the whole almonds and yogurt, then followed up with Ant Planks. Perf.
